Mixed Lots
Mixes lots are as they sound. An assortment of products. They are not necessarily a total random scattering. Many fall within parameters. Obvious parameters would be women's, men's, juniors, and children's. Within those parameters you could have sub groupings like high retail, trendy, traditional, sizing, seasonal breakdown, brands, and more. These parameters can be extremely helpful when purchasing department store overstock and shelf pull lots. Find the right parameters and you can get a majority of what you are looking for. The majority of the apparel and footwear products we offer come from department stores because they are authentic and of good quality. They are also authorized retailers of the products they liquidate so you are able to legally distribute them subject to their terms.
Straight Brand Lots
This is where serious risk exists. Licensed branded goods are supposed to be sold through authorized wholesalers and retailers. Goods obtained outside those sources can be subject to legal consequences. Even if you purchase products in good faith, if they are outside the proper distribution channels you can have all kinds of problems. There are jobbers who purchase and distribute licensed branded lots but many are subject to defacing, delabeling, and geographic distribution restrictions. Finally there are fakes that are usually represented as manufacturers overruns. Lots of potential legal and financial problems there.

Why risk possible civil and criminal penalties. Stick with the mixed lots with the right parameters.
